Full Moon and Eclipse YOGA session
The Moon has taught me, it is ok to go through phases.
Our path/journey is not straight forward. We revisit things we thought we understood and see deeper truths.
Notice, when the Moon is full, we feel full of emotions. The full moon is the peak of the lunar cycle. The Full Moon is a powerful time for inner. It is a time to breathe through blockages and shed layers that hold us down. When we let go and clear out the stagnant energy we are able to reconnect with our inner authority.
How does yoga play a role during this magical phase every month?
I offer Hatha yoga.Â

Both these energies influence us on a deep emotional and energetical level. It is important that we keep them balanced to live a balanced life.
Practicing yoga during the full moon helps us understand we are cyclical beings. We learn to connect with our own natural cycles. When we are in harmony with nature, it is easier to listen to ourselves which is important to create the life that is balanced and works for us.
Life is smoother when our masculine and feminine energies are unvarying and harmonised. Our Prana=Life Force is at its peak when our energies are balanced.
The Full Moon is the:
- time to see the people that hurt you and the obstacles that you have faced as your teachers/lessons.
- time to release and let go of negative energies that came from past events.
- time for inner work, breathing through blockages, and shedding layers that weigh us down.
- time to get through: guilt, shame, wrong doings, drama, arguments, fears, and negative emotions.
Prepping For the Beaver Moon Practice (optional):
Stay true to your intention, whatever challenge arises.
The Full Moon is also the ideal time to practise forgiveness and gratitude. We can use the Full Moon to process the following: Negative emotions. Fears. Upsets. Arguments. Wrongdoings.
Journal:
- Identify an immediate obstacle you may have experienced.
- Write down how you felt at the time and what you learned from that obstacle. What lesson did you take away from that experience?
- Yoga helps release stress, trauma and tension stored in the subtle, energetic body, so that you open up to receive all the celestial gifts the full moon has to offer.
- The Moon represents the Divine Feminine Energy, which is cool, calm, creative and nurturing.
- Please avoid any heavy meals for at least 3 hours prior to the session.
- Keep 2 cushions/pillows and a blanket at hand.
- Only if you have healing stones, keep your healing stones under the Full Moon outdoors or by the window to recharge. Do not wear them or have them with you during the practice. You need to do the work without any support from the healing stones. Plus, the stones/crystals will be vibrating at their highest after the recharge to support the work you have done during the practice.
